HOLIDAY LOOK

THE BASE
The key to beautiful make up is an amazing base. Start with a clean face. If you are oily, apply a Pre Make Up base. For this look, I applied Bioderma's Pore Refiner on the areas where I get oily. Allow the base to set before you start applying your foundation.

I used MAKE UP FOREVER's HD Foundation in N128 with the Stippling Brush. The soft bristles of this brush allows you to work the foundation into your skin without having to worry about damaging it.

I applied Benefit's Sun Beam with Brush Number 9 on the bridge of my nose and cheekbones.

I concealed my dark circles, redness around the nose with MUFE's Full Cover Concealer in number 8 and Brush Number 13.

Brush Number 1 was lightly dipped in MUFE's Duo Mat Powder in 307 to set the base

CONTOUR, BLUSH AND HIGHLIGHT
To softly sculpt my cheekbones I used Brush Number 2 with NARS Laguna Bronzer. To give my cheeks the some colour, I applied NARS Blush in Orgasm on the apples of cheeks with Brush Number 3. To mimic the JLO Glow, I used Brush Number 14 with MAC's Chez Chez Lame on my cheekplane

SCULPTED, BLUSHING AND GLOWING

THE BROWS
To define my brows and give my eye "The Lift" I used a dark brown eyebrow pencil and to make it look more natural, I used  Brush Number 6 dipped in Benefit's Brow Zings in Medium. Lastly, I kept the brows in place with Mikyajy's Clear Brow Gel.

THE LIFT!

THE BEDAZZLING EYES
To create that sexy, soft, come hither eyes, follow these steps.

Apply an eye primer all over your eyes and lower lash line with Brush Number 9. I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion for this look.

Take a Brown Kohl Pencil like MAC's Teddy and line your lash bed, waterline and lower lash line.

Take Brush Number 7 and dip the tip of the brush on a shimmer brown eye shadow (I used Urban Decay's Naked Palette 2 Snake Bite) and smudge kohl pencil on the lash bed, and lower lash line.

Using the flat surface of the same brush apply the same colour on the entire lid.

To give your eyes the depth that it needs, apply a matte eye shadow like Tease from UD NP 2 on your crease with Brush Number 10 and blend.

To brighten the eyes a bit, apply a shimmer shadow like UD NP in verve on the tear ducts using the flat side of Brush Number 7.

Lastly, apply a Matte Pale Yellow es like UD NP in Foxy with Brush Number 12 on your browbone.

THE LIPS
Whether  you are going pale lips or a powerful Red one precise application is key.

I lined my lips with MAC's Spice  lipliner and blended the liner with Brush Number Four and applied NARS' Turkish Delight Gloss.

For look Number 2, I defined my lips with INGLOT's Lip Pencil in 58 and filled it in with MAC's Russian Red Lipstick.

WOMAN by ANNA brushes

The year I started my love affair with Make Up, is the year I knew that I will forever be searching for products and tools that will help me successfully translate all the visuals in my head to reality. I realized that products alone, are not enough to create all these looks that I have in mind; like an artist, I needed brushes that will help me in drawing the finest lines to bring out the beauty of a woman’s eye, the softest brushes to flawlessly blend the foundation, making it look like a woman’s second skin. I needed the best tools to create the most beautiful canvas.. a Woman’s Face.

The first 2 brushes that I ever purchased date back to 1998 and I still carry them in my kit! Even to this very day, they conjure a smile on my face each and every time I see them, invoking nostalgia of my amazement with sable haired make up brushes. This feeling of reminiscence and my never-ending quest to find the best tools made me embark on a project that capitalized on my years of experience in this industry. I am proud to introduce the creation of beautiful and durable make up brushes that promise to help you achieve make-up looks that I have created over the years and to inspire you to make your own.

Woman by Anna brushes is a set of 15 make up brushes made from fine goat hair and premium taklon to ensure seamless and flawless application of cream, liquid and powder products, tested and used by yours truly. By creating my first set of brushes, I wish to encourage everyone, from up-and-coming artist to all the women out there, to explore the never ending possibilities that only you can create with the right tools! These brushes were created for the artist…. For Women.. for you.

WOMAN by ANNA brushes comes with its very own brush guide prepared by yours truly to help you understand the potential of each custom brush.

HALLOWEEN SPECIAL: WALKING DEAD

Halloween is just around the corner my beautiful bloggers! Are you going to a Halloween Party?! It is so exciting to dress up and really go all out on gore this time of the year! hehehehehe

I have been watching Walking Dead lately and to say that I am obsessed is an understatement. hehehe. So, what could be a better tribute to the TV series that is keeping me glued to the boob tube than with  Halloween Look inspired by the series :)

Hope you all like this spooky look and do let me know about your Halloween looks :)

Love and Light,
A

YOU HAVE TO START WITH A CLEAN FACE.
MAKE SURE TO TONE AND SKIP THE MOISTURISER.
I USED A MATIFIER TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING STICKS WELL.

BECAUSE A ZOMBIE'S FACE DOES NOT CONVEY ANY EXPRESSION, I ALSO COVERED MY BROWS.

I APPLIED THE LIGHTEST SHADE FROM THE GRAFTOBIAN PALETTE ALL OVER MY FACE. MAKE SURE TO COVER YOUR EARS AND ALL PARTS OF YOUR BODY THAT WILL BE EXPOSED.

SINCE ZOMBIES ARE DEAD, YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR FACE AS GAUNT AS POSSIBLE.
I APPLIED A DARK SHADE OF CREAM FOUNDATION ON MY TEMPLES, HOLLOWS OF THE CHEEKS, I ALSO LINED MY FOREHEAD, UPPER LIPS AND I DARKENED MY UNDER EYE AREA

I BLENDED MY LINES.

TO MIMIC THE BRUISED LOOK, I COMBINED RED, BLACK AND BLUE MATTE EYE SHADOW.
DETERMINE WHERE U WANT YOUR BRUISES AS WELL.

FOR MY BRUISES, I JUST USED MY TRUST EYE LASH GLUE AND ALLOWED IT TO DRY.
WHEN IT DRIED OUT, I JUST POKED SOME HOLES AND APPLIED A RED MATTE EYE SHADOW.

CREATE SOME DIMENSION ON THE WOUNDS BY COLORING THE SURROUNDING AREA WITH BLACK, VIOLET AND BLUE EYE SHADOW. MAKE SURE THEY ARE MATTE.

LAST STEP IS TO FILL YOUR WOUNDS WITH RED LIP GLOSS.
YOU CAN ALSO ADD SOME CONTACTS AND BLACKEN YOUR TEETH TO FINISH THE LOOK.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!

PRINTED JEANS FOR FALL

Hi my Lovelies! Are you all getting some much deserved rest this Eid break? I surely hope so. :-). I am enjoying my break with my daughter, trying to stay away from the net as much as possible because as soon her break is over mama has to attend to commitments left, right, front, back and centre. :)
