This coming week I will be turning 33 and as it nears, all the more that I feel very thankful for my blessings, the number 1 being blessed with a wonderful daughter. Pie, incidentally, just had her 1st Holy Communion last weekend.

To celebrate the the blessings and my 33rd birthday, I invited 3 other amazing women, Ria, owner of my favourite on line shop (My Strawberry Shop), Mariyah and Tina, Photographers extraordinaire and great girlfriends, to take part in my simple gift to 1 special woman.

Iam giving a special make over - hair, make up, styling and photographs to one woman who can tell me why 'She is extraordinary.'

Birthdays are about celebrating qualities that sets you apart and I want to celebrate that with one of you.

Send you entries to: annadeleon@live.com with one close up photos. Promo ends on 28 Feb 2010.

I know that its late for valentines but since February is the love month, let me end the great date looks series with the last look... the bombshell.

So, what exactly is a bombshell? Well, she is a woman is just oozing with confidence and sex appeal, she will never be afraid to be the only woman wearing a red lipstick in boardroom full of nude lipped women and mind you, this is just in the office. Its different ball game when she is out on a date or partying with her girlfriends.

A bombshell, for me will never be without anything animal print. I can't remember which designer it was who said that, 'animal print will only go out of style when sexiness goes out of style.'

I hope that this series inspired you ladies to put on your different faces each and everytime you go out with your special someone. I recall my ex saying that I look different each time he sees me it makes him feel that he is cheating on me. hehehehe. oh wellllll.

Total Recall.... take me back to the 60's

Scarf: Missoni
Sunglasses: PRADA
White Shirt: Massimo Dutti

Sometimes when faced with the dilemma of waking up late and grabbing whats readily available, you end up with either of the 2, going for an all black ensemble or an all white ensemble. I chose the latter today. With no time for even a five minute blow dry, I also air dried my hair which did not help ease the fly aways of my growing locks. Thankfully bandanas are back in vogue. All in all, it was not so bad waking up later than usual because of a tummy ache.

Take me to work.
Another office worthy way to wear this ensemble.

HOLA! Cardigan does Espana. Turn your cardi into a bolero.
Take the dress to the office and cover the neck and shoulders

Flip your cardi and give your ensemble a boat neck top

Top and Skirt Ensemble
Fold the sleeves and 3/4 of the bottom half of the cardi. Secure it with a thick belt.
By the way, this was how I wore it that day.
A very girl basic ensemble.
A - Line Dress: CJ and Co
Belt: New Look
Black Peep Toe Pumps: ALDO

A couple of months back I made a post on how to style 1 ensemble in 5 different ways and I am back with another but this time its styling 1 ensemble in 6 ways. I named it Valentines Ensemble in 6 ways because I wore it during happy hearts day

If you look at my older post, you will see that the Black Cardigan from Zara is also back. :)
This post also made me realise now that I am looking at the photos that a good belt goes a long, long way :)

Hope you like this.

* Got this pair from a small shop near the Trevi Fountain in Rome but I some from the same label being sold in Shoe Mart already.

I love the cuffs of this top and the fabric takes me back to the 70's

Going monochromatic with a Satin Long Sleeves from Zara
Beige Pencil Skirt from Mango
Beige Peep Toe Sling Backs from ALDO
3 Strand Pearl Necklace from New Look

I love the collar of this dress.

A Simple Sheath with a lovely collar from Zara
Brown Faux Snakeskin peep toe sling backs from Zara

When I moved to my new apartment and started sorting out my new closet I realised that I had so much brown coloured pieces that I have totally neglected. Because of my love affair with Blanc et Noir, I totally forgot about brown.

Brown.... the shade which reminds me of warm coffee being sipped while the rain pours outside, not to mention some chocolate chip muffins.

So, whether you have moved to a new apartment or not, go thru your closet and explore the colour spectrum :)

Frame your face with a sparkling head wrap. I know both are headbands but for some reason I think I look different in this photo. hehehe
Keep your fringe at bay with a thick headband

When blow dried properly, it can actually look like a bob.

I can finally put my hair in a half pony tail! :)

After being short haired for almost 5 months with last hair cut being in November, I have finally decided to grow my locks.

I had several moments of despair coz my hair suddenly grew its own attitude, I had several impulses to go to my hairdresser for another chop but decided otherwise. Growing your hair can really be a tedious process but it can be quite fun :)

The eyes have it.... all the time :)

Do Cats really have 9 lives?

No Cat's eye just colour inspiration from the good old cheshire cat .

Iam obsessed with brows! Making it, covering it. hahaha

Its Rock and Roll Time!

This is the 2nd installement from the Alice in Wonderland Avant Garde Make Up Series. I was looking at the photos of The Madhatter and realised that she reminded me of Slash from Guns N Roses, so, when I was doing the Make Uo for the Cheshire Cat, I thought, why not use another rock icon. I think in these photos, she kind of reminds me of Debbie Harry.

THE LIPS: Go Pale and Glossy wiht INGLOT Soft Precision Lipliner in 67 topped with INGLOT gloss in 26.

Open Sesame!

THE FINISHING TOUCHES: Apply powder on where you get oily only. Take advantage of the weather and go dewy all the way. :)

THE CHEEKS: Apply MAC Cremeblush in Uncommon on the apples of the cheeks. I applied the INGLOT Illuminator on my cheek plane with a MUFE 5N brush and blended it with the cushion of my ring finger.

THE BROWS - Keep them light and in place. Sephora Brow Pencil in 01, Benefit Brow Zings in Light and Mikyajy Brow Set.

THE EYES: Gold Peepers :)

THE EYES: Curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of Maybelline Colossal Mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

THE EYES: Using MAC Teddy Kohl Pencil, lightly line the upper lash line. One trick I use to achieve a soft definition is to apply the liner as if you are putting some dots on the lash bed.

With a MAC 266 brush, apply the shimmer taupe on the lower lash line.

Using the same brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on your water line all the way to your tear ducts.

THE EYES: Again, with an INGLOT Flat shadow brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on the brow bone.

THE EYES: Blend with a MAC 217.

THE EYES: Contoured and unblended.

THE EYES - With an INGLOT 80HP Brush, apply the shimmery taupe shadow on the crease with a little more emphasis on the outer V for soft definition.

THE EYES: Gold Lids.

THE EYES - Using an INGLOT Flat eye shadow brush, apply the gold shimmery shade from Prestige's Sun Diamond Eye Palette from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE EYES - Prepped eye area. Dont forget to apply some primer on the lower lash line as well.

THE EYES - Set the eye area with Bourjois liquid shadow in Gold. Apply it from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE BASE - With the Eyeko Tinted Cream and Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous.

THE BASE - I used Eyeko Tinted as my Pre Make Up Base to give me a nice looking tan. Eyeko is available on line, however, you can use a tinted moitsuriser. I applied Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous after. It glides on smoothly, perfect for the dewy look that we are after.

Last year I did a make up look inspired by Adriana Lima and last week I got a request from Lina on my email for the instructions on how to do the eyes.

I replaced some of the products as because most of the products that I used on the original post are either discontinued or I just got them as a freebie :)

Hope you like this Lina :)
